Sweet wonton sticks, crispy rolled wonton wrappers coating with caramelized sauce

If you’re craving sweets or you have leftover wonton wrappers, try turning our Wonton Wrapper into a sweet wonton stick! All you have to do is roll up the sticks and caramelize it! It’s quick and easy, which is recommended for when you don’t want to take too long making sweets. The caramelized stick with a hint of cinnamon is recommended!

Ingredients

Wrap

  • 10 pieces Wonton Wrapper
  • Water

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 50 g Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Water

Instructions

  • Spread the wonton wrapper and brush on a thin layer of water entirely. Starting from the corner, roll up the wrapper into a stick. Make sure to keep the corners closed with water.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add the sticks form Step 1 to fry. Fry both sides until the sticks are crispy. Set aside.
  • In a separate frying pan, add brown sugar, cinnamon, honey and water. Heat the frying pan and stir the sauce until the sauce caramelizes.
  • Once the sugar caramelizes and starts foaming, add in the sticks that you have set aside and mix well. Place the sticks to a plate and you are done!
