Hakata Tonkotsu Yaki Ramen

“Yaki-Ramen” is a dish of grilled ramen noodles, mostly pork-flavored. In the United States, it is called Stir-Fry Noodles. Be sure to enjoy this slightly different flavor from the usual tonkotsu ramen.

  • 1 serving Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen

Sause

  • ¾ packet Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen Soup Base

Toppings

  • 1 cup Bean Sprouts
  • 5 g Wood Ear Mushrooms
  • 3 slices Pork Belly
  • Green onion by preference
  • Red ginger by preference
  • 1 tbsp Sesami Oil

Instructions

  • Cut green onions for topping.
  • Spread the pork belly in a frying pan with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper, and stir fry until cooked through.
    Hakata Tonkotsu Yaki Ramen
  • Add Wood Ear mushrooms and bean sprouts, and turn off heat when lightly browned and wilted.
  •  Boil water in a pot and cook the noodles, following the package instructions. Then rinse under cold water and drain well.
  • Put the noodles into the frying pan and stir fry, loosening the noodles as you fry them.
  • After the noodles are lightly browned, add the soup and stir fry while loosening the noodles.
  • Serve in a bowl and top with red ginger and chopped green onions.

A new way to enjoy Tonkotsu Ramen!

I had only had tonkotsu ramen with soup before, so I was surprised at the new idea!

It tasted great too!
