Udon Casserole adding white sauce and cheese to Chicken Flavor Udon

While we have many recipes for our udonwe’ve realized that we haven’t tried using the oven! For this recipe, we’ve added some white sauce and cheese to our udon and turned it into an Udon Casserole! The white sauce, cheese, and udon makes a surprisingly good combination! Try making this dish using our Chicken Flavor Udon.

Ingredients

Udon

  • 1 serving Chicken Flavor Udon

White Sauce

  • ½ packet Chicken Flavor Udon Soup Base
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup Milk

Toppings

  • 1 Bacon cut in 1cm widths
  • 2 Mushrooms sliced
  • ¼ Onion sliced
  • Salt by preference
  • Pepper by preference
  • cup Shredded Cheese
  • Parsley

Instructions

  • Brush on a small amount of butter inside the casserole dish.
  • Take the udon out of the package in cut to big bite sizes. Boil the noodles in boiling water for 1 minute. Once the noodles are cooked, drain and place in the casserole dish.
  • In a frying pan, cook the cut bacon, sliced mushrooms, and onions. Add in the soup seasoning, butter, and flour. Lower the heat. Slowly add in the milk while stirring, so that the sauce does not get clumped. Once the sauce thickens, the white sauce is ready. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the white sauce on top of the udon and bake in the toaster oven for 10 minutes. Add shredded cheese to the dish and bake for another 10 minutes. To finish, sprinkle on parsley. Enjoy!

I did it just as it says to but added soft white garlic and herb cheese, the whole Liok round brick… oh my that’s good stuff.

My Korean daughter-in-law likes this. I make things tasty.

Keep in mind, I’m your cook, not your doctor.
