1. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium pot and 1 ¼ cups in a separate small pot.
2. Add defrosted noodles to the 4 cups of boiling water. Cook 1 min to 1 min 15 sec, stirring occasionally (if frozen, add 1 min to cooking time). Please adjust the cooking time per your personal preference.
3. Before noodles are fully cooked, open soup base packet and pour into a soup bowl. Add the 1 ¼ cups of boiling water to the soup base and mix well.
4. Drain cooked noodles, add to soup and enjoy!
Serving suggestion: Add chashu, green onions, boiled eggs, seaweed, bamboo shoots, etc. as desired.

I used to like Tonkotsu ramen for long time, but I was recommended by my friend that this Shio ramen is special. I was skeptical at first, but it was! It was not heavy like Tonkotsu but not too light. It was really good flavor with Ginger. This Shio Ramen totally changed my image of Shio ramen. It is worth a try.

I love making tanmen with this. When I feel lazy, I would just stir-fry some bean sprouts, cabbage, and sliced meat to add as a topping for a full meal. There’s a hint of ginger in the soup, which goes great with the vegetables. Shio sounds salty but it isn’t too salty at all! The noodles are great as well. 100% recommended for those who want a simple meal and want to eat plenty of vegetables.
